This Is Community
Why Community Matters
Most people don’t avoid learning about firearms because they don’t care, they avoid it because they don’t feel welcome.
For a lot of us, traditional gun spaces can feel intimidating, unfamiliar, or not built with us in mind. And when there’s no clear entry point, curiosity turns into distance.
But people are far more likely to learn, ask questions, and build confidence when they’re part of a community where it feels normal—and safe—to do so.
That’s what Girls, Gays & Guns is about.
We’re creating a space where people can show up at any experience level, learn from one another, and build real confidence around firearms in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Because information helps—but community is what makes people feel comfortable enough to engage in the first place.
